5G

The International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) recommendation ITU-R M.2083 outlines three main development directions for mobile communication technology developments:

• Enhanced Mobile Broadband, 
• Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC),
• Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC).

The first frequency bands for 5G use are planned for 694–790 MHz, 3,400–3,800 MHz, and 24.25–27.5 GHz.
